Our QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) is a nationally recognised qualification designed for those who care for infants and children. Whether you work in early years, education, health and social care, or you are a parent or caregiver, this course provides the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Delivered through a flexible blended learning approach, this course combines online theory with a hands-on, instructor-led practical session at our Training in Partnership venue in Andover.

What does the course cover?
You will gain the knowledge and confidence to respond to a wide range of paediatric emergencies, including:
- Assessing an emergency situation safely
- CPR for infants and children
- Choking management
- Unconsciousness and recovery position
- Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis)
- Bleeding, burns, and fractures
- Shock and head injuries
- Seizures and febrile convulsions
- Meningitis and sepsis awareness

Blended Learning: Complete theory online at your own pace
Practical Session: Attend a face-to-face training day in Andover
Assessment: Ongoing practical assessment by a qualified instructor
Certification
- Upon successful completion, learners will receive a QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) certificate, valid for 3 years.
