This course covers the essential techniques of crane rigging, including directing the work on the ground, and ensuring the safe, efficient conduct of crane operations. The course will look at crane stability and safety, including outriggers, counterweights and movement. There’ll be a wide range of information on sling safety and information on how to inspect rigging hardware links, shackles, end-fittings, wire rope clips and hooks. Finally, the course will cover a full range of hand signals used to communicate between the ground and the crane operator.
